Richard and Vicky Eisemann are avid Pickleball Players. Their background in tournament Racquetball for 40 years has provided them with a unique ability to run fantastic tournaments. Their passion for the Military stems from Richard having served 21 years in the Air Force and Vicky's son who is currently in the Air Force. Additionally, Vicky ran The Jet Set Classic Racquetball Tournaments for 10 years, where she (being a former flight attendant) had this tournament where all the major airlines competed against each other for the ultimate winning Airline each year. Richard and Vicky felt this format would work well with the Military Branches and the first "Battle of the Branches" Pickleball Tournament was born. Richard and Vicky wanted to partner with a great charity that helps our vets and first responders in need. The Gary Sinise Foundation is just this type of charity. Their vision is to eventually build this Military Community so Regional Tournaments will be held and a lifetime of friendships will be formed.
A good tournament consists of continuous play, less sitting and the format known as Round Robin. This allows all teams to play each other vs. the luck of the draw and guarantees the player a better tournament experience. All too often a player spends a lot of time and money to attend a tournament, only to play 2 matches and be out of the tournament. We are committed to a great player experience.
The first "Battle of the Branches" will be held in Casa Grande, AZ at the Palm Creek Golf & RV Resort, October 17-20, 2019.
